Hotel Alba D'Amore

We spent a week's holiday at the Hotel Alba D'Amore with half board in a comfort room. The hotel staff also took care of booking the flight and the scooter for us, thus offering a very convenient and fast service. The hotel is very nice and is located in a quiet and strategic position to reach the most beautiful beaches but also the center of Lampedusa. Our room located on the first floor was quite spacious, completely renovated, with contemporary furnishings, equipped with everything you need and very clean. With the dinner which includes a starter, a choice of two first courses, two second courses and dessert or fruit, we were able to appreciate the excellent local cuisine with fresh fish every evening. Even at breakfast nothing is missing with homemade desserts of different types. The property also features a wellness centre. One of the strong points of the hotel is the family management with very kind owners and staff, professional and ready to satisfy every customer need. The outcome of the holiday was truly very positive! Thank you!!!

Beautiful hotel, located a few steps walk from the beautiful Guitgia beach. Large garden at the entrance furnished with hammocks, sofas and armchairs, tables where you can enjoy a good coffee enlivened by the stories of the owners' sweet mother. The modern furnishings with pieces of furniture in sandstone typical of the island, well cared for and clean. Together with the girls at the reception who I thank, I found the right room for our needs. A new, clean, very beautiful and spacious superior room (they also provided us with a cot for the little one and despite this the room remains spacious) with modern and functional furnishings. New and very clean bathroom, thanks to the attention of the smiling cleaning ladies. Our room overlooked the internal garden equipped with deckchairs, table and chairs and drying rack. The very varied breakfast buffet, from muffins, to croissants, to homemade cakes, even fresh bread which I love and which is difficult to find in buffets; Martina and Emanuele, ready and attentive waiters, always smiling and kind, asked us if we wanted fresh fruit, eggs or anything else... this is an added value for a buffet because it allows you to consume always very fresh food, avoiding unnecessary waste, congratulations! Every morning with Giusy's smile welcoming us we asked for advice on what to see and chose the dinner menu, starter, first and second courses of our choice based on fresh fish, fresh fruit or dessert; The owner Mrs. Rosalba's attention to the little ones impressed me, my girls eat very few things and yet they always managed to keep them varied too and for this I thank them very much. I thank the girls at the reception for their precious advice, the waiters for their professionalism and their smiles, the caretaker who, upon our return in the evening, wished us goodnight and asked us if we needed anything else... Last but not least I thank and congratulate the D'Amore family who admirably manage their splendid hotel. The Alba D'Amore hotel was the right choice to feel at home on an island that deserves to be experienced.

I stayed in July, small room, blind bathroom and no possibility of hanging out a swimsuit, poor breakfast, good dinner but unripe and frozen fruit! The transfer was rude!!! The only positive note is the gentleman who does night service, the doorman, very kind and helpful... the only one to give us assistance and information on the island, the other employees very rude.... I don't recommend it

Hotel located near the beach served with umbrellas and deckchairs, near the port and the bus stop. The recently renovated external structure is good, there are a couple of receptions, the standard rooms are very small without a wardrobe with very little space to move around. The clothes are hung on a pole, which is really small for 2 people. The cuisine is quite accurate, breakfast with fresh products for the sweet part, but there is a shortage of fresh fruit, to which they prefer canned fruit. The salty part varies little, the eggs must be requested, the cured meats, once finished, are not brought back. The biggest flaw is the table service for dinner!! Long, performed by waiters who pay little attention to customers and to the service done in a disorganized way, serving the tables without logic. Out of 4 diners, 2 eat and 2 wait half an hour to be served, inconceivable for a quality restaurant. The owners are very courteous, the spa is good and the transfer service to and from the airport is good, even if 50 euros is an excessive price given the distance from the hotel and the transport is carried out for several people at the same time. There are certainly positive points, but many things to review, especially for a hotel in the restaurant service.

Hotel in an excellent position to visit all the beauties of the island, very close to several beautiful beaches and not far from the center of Lampedusa. Family management that combines friendliness and hospitality with experience and professionalism. Simple and genuine typical cuisine with excellent fish dishes every day. It also has a very nice small spa that allows you to relax before dinner with a wellness program. I recommend it especially for trips as a couple or with friends and I hope to return soon.
